There was an article on the front page of the local section of the Waterbury Republic-American today about
how students at Long Meadow Elementary School in Middlebury are having their writing published by
Leopard's Pride Printing Press, a makeshift school supply cart that's decorated to look like a small
printing press.
"School staff members and parent volunteers use the 'printing press,' which is named after the school's
mascot, a leopard, to put the work of the students into book form."
"The program was the brainchild of kindergarten teacher Jami Richardson and Angie Groman, the school's
media specialist. They said several parents help edit the books, put them together and laminate them."
